What is The Israel Trail Project?

The Israel Trail Project was conceived after my decision to hike from Eilat in the south all the way to the northern most point, the top of Mt. Hermon. I searched for information but found that there was very little available on the Israel’s National Trail. A saw a need, a need I could fill!

When I personally hike along the 950 km trail that makes up the Israel National Trail, hiking through deserts, cities, rivers, beaches, mountains and more, I will be keeping an extensive diary of the trip. I will also film and photograph all the historic sites along the way. Using my skills as a tour guide, I will give a complete description of the tour.

There will be information for hikers, whether they want to hike one day, a week or the whole trail, on what to bring, including food, water, first aid materials, plus preparations to make and transportation information.

There will be interviews with different people that I meet along the way, from the Bedouin of the desert to the Ultra Orthodox Jews of Mea Shearim and anything else that comes my way.

There will be a forum page for communication between people who are interested in connecting with others who have or want to hike in Israel.

There will also be a page where people can download classes pertaining to the land, it’s historical significance, and the struggles we face here, as well as music to listen to along the trail.

The Israel Trail Project will give its users a one stop site to learn about hiking in Israel, what they will see, who they will see, and why they should see it!

Now go and Hike the Israel National Trail today!!!
