Day 2 Today was a another beautiful day hiking up and down mountain sides in the middle of the Eilat Mountains just south of the Negev. We did about 16 km today. Incredible views of multicolored sandstone, with vistas over the red sea and dryed up waterfalls that were challenging with my 20kg pack on. The best part was Har Shlomo, or as it is called in English Solomon’s Mountain. This is a billion year old mountain made of Granite. I also learned that the hippies do not like being called hippies. Today Dudi and I met the hippies. Thats right hippies. Who woulda thunk but the hippies are doing Israel! There must be about 50-60 of them here camping out with us to hike the trail. Amazing. And it all came as a big surprise, and this just after Dudi told me he was going to hike with me at least for the first week, but i think he will continue on. So we are camped out at the trail head and head out tomorrow morning at the crack of dizzle. No pictures today, but tomorrow for sure.
